Foal Scratching, 1911
A good quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Foal Scratching’ by Paul Troubetzkoy (Russian, 1866 – 1938). This bronze was cast by the lost wax process in Paris. Before casting it was signed, dated and inscribed in the wax and has a dark brown/black patina with lighter brown undertones.
