Fallen Angels, Sketch, c. 1890
A fine quality, very rare, early twentieth century bronze model of two entwined figures entitled ‘Fallen Angels’ by Auguste Rodin (French, 1840-1917). This bronze was produced using the sand casting process, probably at the Griffoul Foundry. It is signed ‘A. Rodin’ and has a green and brown patina with black undertones.
