Reclining Spitz Dog, circa 1904
A good quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Sleeping Dog’ by Paul Troubetzkoy (Italo-Russian, 1866-1938). This bronze was cast by the lost wax process in St Petersburg possibly by the Robecchi foundry. It was signed, dated and inscribed in the wax and has a dark brown to black patina with reddy brown highlights.
