Moscow Coachman, c. 1898

Prince Paul Troubetzkoy

A good quality, rare early twentieth century bronze model of a Moscow Coachman entitled ‘Moscow Izvostchik’ by Paul Troubetzkoy (Russian, 1866 – 1938). This bronze was cast by the Claude Valsuani Foundry in Paris. It was signed in the wax ‘Paul Troubetzkoy’ and has a dark brown patina with lighter brown highlights and black undertones.
