African Elephant “Mzee”

An original, contemporary, bronze sculpture entitled ‘Mzee, African Elephant’ 2021 by Mark Coreth (British, b.1958). This bronze has a rich chestnut brown patina and is signed ‘M Coreth’ and numbered from an edition of 9.

The elephant used by Mark for the subject of this sculpture was known as ‘Mzee’: an affectionate and respectful term for an elder.
