Standing Horse, 1906

A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a Standing Horse entitled ‘Etude de Cheval’, by Roger Godchaux, (French, 1878-1958). This bronze was cast using the lost wax process at the Susse Frères Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed, inscribed and numbered in the wax and has a medium reddy brown patina with darker brown undertones.
