Elephant with Mahout, c. 1930
A good quality, twentieth century bronze model of an ‘Elephant with Mahout’ by Roger Godchaux (French, 1878-1958). This bronze was cast using the lost wax process at the Susse Freres Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was inscribed, stamped and signed in the wax. It has a dark brown patina with light brown undertones.
