Southdown Ewe, 1921-1924
A rare, good quality, early twentieth century gold-plated bronze model of a standing ewe entitled ‘Sandringham Ewe, ‘Southdown”, by Herbert Haseltine (American, 1877-1962). This bronze was produced at the artist’s atelier, Paris. It is signed and dated in the marble and inscribed on the front ‘Southdown’. It is mounted on a black and grey flecked marble base.
