Torse sur le Dauphin, 1910

A fine quality twentieth century bronze model of a torso on a dolphin titled ‘Torse sur le Dauphin’ by Aristide Maillol (French, 1861-1944). Signed by the artist with his monogram and stamped in the wax by the foundry ‘C. Valsuani cire perdue’. This cast has a warm brown patina with gold and reddy undertones.
