Tiger and Ostrich, c. 1845
A rare, good quality, mid-nineteenth century bronze model of a ‘Tiger and Ostrich’ by Christophe Fratin (French, 1800-1864). This bronze, signed ‘Fratin’, was cast in the sculptor’s own atelier and has a medium brown patina with golden highlights.
