Peacock, 1918-1930
A fine quality, early twentieth century, bronze model of a ‘Peacock’ by Francois Pompon (French, 1855 – 1933). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Hébrard, Foundry Paris. Before casting, it was signed, numbered and stamped in the wax. This example has a dark brown patina with golden undertones.
