Crowned Crane at Rest, 1926
A fine quality, rare, early twentieth century life-size bronze model of a ‘Crowned Crane at Rest’ by Francois Pompon (French, 1855 – 1933). This bronze was cast by the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani Foundry in Paris. Before casting it was signed, inscribed and stamped in the wax and it has a deep black brown patina.
