Growling Bear, 1930

Thierry Van Ryswyck | Belgian, 1911 - 1958

A rare, fine quality twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Growling Bear’ by Theirry Van Ryswyck (Belgian, 1911 – 1958). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Batardy Foundry, Brussels. Before casting it was signed, dated and stamped in the wax and has a dark brown patina with reddy brown undertones.
