Drinking Horse, c.1865

A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a Drinking Horse, entitled ‘Cheval a l’abreuvoir’. This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Hébrard Foundry in Paris. Before casting it was signed, stamped and numbered in the wax. It has a dark brown patina with black undertones.
