Dancer Looking at her Right Foot, c. 1900-1910

A rare, fine quality, early twentieth century, impressionistic bronze model of a dancer entitled ‘Dancer looking at the sole of her right foot’ by Edgar Degas (French, 1834 – 1917). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Hébrard Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed, numbered and stamped in the wax. It has a warm reddy brown patina.
