Cheval au Galop sur le Pied Droit, c. 1880-89
A fine quality early twentieth century bronze model entitled ‘Cheval au Galop sur le Pied Droit’ by Edgar Degas (French 1834-1917). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process the Hébrard foundry. Prior to casting in bronze, it was signed, numbered and stamped in the wax. It has a dark brown patina with reddy undertones.
