Chicken, 1912
A fine quality, twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Chicken’ by Francois Pompon (French, 1855-1933). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani foundry in Paris. Prior to casting it was signed and stamped in the wax ‘Pompon’, ‘C Valsuani Cire Perdue’. It has a warm brown with reddy undertones.
