Red Partridge, 1924
A fine quality early twentieth century rare bronze model of a ‘Red Partridge’ by Francois Pompon (French, 1855 – 1933). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed and inscribed in the wax ‘Pompon’ ‘C. Valsuani Cire Perdue’ and has a reddy brown patina.
