Standing Woman Arranging her Hair, life-size, 1930

Aristide Maillol

A rare, fine quality, twentieth century bronze model of a standing bather entitled ‘Nu debout se coiffant’ by Aristide Maillol (French 1861-1944). This bronze was cast using the sand casting process at the Rudier Foundry, Paris. It is signed with the artist’s monogram ‘M’ and inscribed ‘Alexis Rudier Fondeur Paris’. It has a warm brown patina with reddy brown undertones.
