Two Leopards, c. 1935
A good quality, early twentieth century bronze model of ‘Two Leopards’ by Thierry Van Ryswyck (Belgian, 1911-1958). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process at the Batardy Foundry, Brussels. Prior to casting it was signed and inscribed in the wax ‘Th. Van Ryswyck’, ‘Batardy Bruxelles cire perdue’. It has a golden brown and green patina with golden highlights.
