Stag and Doe, c. 1850
A fine quality, mid-nineteenth century bronze model of a ‘Group of Stag and Doe’ by Pierre Jules Mene (French, 1810-1879). This bronze, signed ‘P.J. Mene’ was cast in the sculptor’s own atelier. This cast has a dark brown patina with golden undertones.
