Sculpture Pedestal, c. 1900
A fine quality, early twentieth century pedestal for a sculpture by Carlo Bugatti (Italian, 1856-1940). This pedestal was produced circa 1900. It was decorated by Riccardo Pellegrini and is made of walnut and ebonised walnut, painted vellum, embossed copper and pewter inlay. It is signed in ink with the decorator’s signature.
