Pair of Racehorses and Jockeys, c. 1875

John Willis Good

A fine quality pair of nineteenth century bronze models of ‘Racehorses and Jockeys’ entitled ‘Before and After the Race’ by John Willis Good (English, 1845-1879). These bronzes were produced using the sand-casting process probably at Elkington and Co., Birmingham. They are signed and dated and have a brown patina with lighter reddy highlights.
