La Danse des Roses, c. 1905
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of three nudes dancing entitled ‘La Danse des Roses’ by Joseph Bernard (French, 1866 – 1928). This sculpture was cast by the lost wax process at the Hébrard Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed and stamped in the wax: ‘J. Bernard’, ‘A. A. Hébrard Cire Perdue’ and has a warm brown patina with red and golden undertones.
