A rare and highly important fine quality early twentieth century life-size bronze model of a girl carrying a water pitcher, entitled ‘Jeune fille à la cruche’ by Joseph Bernard (French, 1866 – 1931). This bronze was cast using the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed and stamped in the wax. This has a rich dark brown patina with reddy brown highlights and black undertones.
