Ibis of the Nile, c. 1925
A fine quality twentieth century bronze model of ‘Ibis of the Nile’ by Charles Joseph Artus (French, 1897-1978). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the sand cast process at the Alexis Ruider foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed and inscribed in the wax. It has a deep brown black patina with green highlights
