Hare, c. 1846

A fine quality, mid-nineteenth century bronze model of a ‘Hare’ by Pierre-Jules Mene (French, 1810 – 1879). This bronze, signed ‘PJ Mene’, was cast in the sculptor’s atelier and has a dark brown black patina with golden highlights.
