Fresh Hunter Horse, c. 1870
A fine quality, mid-nineteenth century silvered bronze model of a ‘Hunter Horse’ by John Willis Good (English, 1845 – 1879). This bronze was cast by the English foundry Elkington and Co. It is signed by the artist ‘J Willis Good’ and inscribed ‘Elkington & Co Ltd’. It has an unusual silvered patina with bronze undertones.
