Femme à l’enfant, c. 1912

A fine quality, twentieth century bronze model of a mother and child, entitled ‘Femme à l’enfant’ by Joseph Bernard (French, 1866-1931). This bronze was cast using the sand cast process probably at the Alexis Rudier Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed in the wax ‘J. Bernard’. This cast has a rich dark brown patina with reddy brown undertones.
