Femme à l’enfant, 1914-1925

Joseph Bernard

A fine quality, twentieth century life-size bronze model of a mother and child, entitled ‘Femme à l’enfant’ by Joseph Bernard (French, 1866-1931). This bronze was cast using the lost wax process at the Coubertin Foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed and stamped in the wax ‘J. Bernard’. This cast has a rich dark brown patina with reddy brown undertones.
