Pierre-Jules Mene

A good quality, mid nineteenth century bronze model of a Mare and Foal, entitled ‘Jument Normande et son Poulain’ by Pierre-Jules Mene (French, 1810-1879). This bronze was cast at the artist’s atelier. It is signed and dated and has a dark brown patina with medium brown undertones.
