Vulture, c. 1925

René Paris

An early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Vulture’ by Rene Paris, (French, 1881 – 1970). This bronze was cast using the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed ‘Rene Paris’ and stamped with the Valsuani foundry stamp in the wax bearing the inscription ‘C. Valsuani Cire Perdue’. It has a dark brown patina with warm brown and green undertones.
