Rabbit, c. 1931
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a rabbit entitled ‘Grand Lapin’ by Armand Petersen (French / Swiss 1891-1969) . This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Susse Freres Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed and inscribed in the wax ‘Petersen’, ‘Susse Fres Edts. Paris’. It has a warm brown patina with red and gold undertones.
