Emile-Antoine Bourdelle | French, 1861 – 1929

A rare, fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a Mother and Child, entitled ‘La Maternité’, by Emile Antoine Bourdelle (French, 1861-1929). Prior to casting in bronze by the Hébrard Foundry, it was signed and stamped in the wax ‘Bourdelle’,  ‘A.A. Hébrard Cire Perdue’. This bronze has a medium brown patina with dark brown undertones.
