Hippopotamus, c. 1928
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a hippopotamus by Armand Petersen (French / Swiss, 1891-1969). This bronze was produced using the lost wax casting process at the artist’s atelier. Prior to casting it was signed and numbered in the wax and has a dark brown and black patina.
