At the Start, 1930
A fine quality early twentieth century bronze model of four horse and jockeys entitled ‘At the Start’ by Georges Malissard, French (1877-1942). This bronze, signed and dated by the sculptor and inscribed by the foundry it was cast in lost wax by the Attilio Valsuani Foundry, Paris, and has a medium brown patina with dark brown undertones.
