Woman in a long robe, 1905

Emile-Antoine Bourdelle

A good quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a Standing Woman with her arms behind her back entitled ‘Femme en blouse’ by Emile Antoine Bourdelle (French, 1861-1929). This sculpture was produced in bronze by the sand cast process, probably at the Alexis Rudier Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed: ‘Emile Antoine Bourdelle’ and has a brown patina with golden highlights and black undertones.
