Magellan Goose, c. 1930

Armand Petersen

A fine quality, early twentieth century rare bronze model of a goose entitled ‘Oie de Magellan’ by Armand Petersen (French / Swiss 1891-1969) . This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Bisceglia Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed and inscribed in the wax ‘A. Petersen’, ‘Cire Perdue Bisceglia’. It has a warm brown patina.
