Gilbert Bayes

A fine quality early twentieth century bronze model of ‘Sigurd with Ring’ by Gilbert Bayes (English, 1872-1953). This bronze, signed ‘Gilbert Bayes’ has a rich brown patina with multi-coloured enamelling and is mounted on its original carved marble base which depicts scenes from the saga on which the sculpture is based.
