Polo Bookends, 1914
A fine quality, early twentieth century pair of bookends depicting polo players by Laura Gardin Fraser (American, 1889-1966). These bronzes were produced using the sand casting process at the Griffoul Foundry, New York. Both bronzes are signed, inscribed and dated ‘L. Gardin © March 14 1914′ and are stamped by the foundry ‘Griffoul. Newark. NJ’. They have a medium brown patina.
