Peacock

Lemar (Leon Marcel Marceau)

A rare, good quality, twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Peacock’ by Marcel Lemar (French, 1892-1941). This bronze was cast by the lost wax process at the Valsuani Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed and stamped in the wax ‘Lemar’ ‘C Valsuani Cire Perdue’. This example has a dark brown patina.
