Emmanuel Fremiet

A good quality, nineteenth century bronze model of monkey, frightened by a snake, balancing on the tip of a wax seal by Emmanuel Fremiet (French, 1824 – 1910). This bronze, signed by the artist ‘E.FREMIET’ was cast at the atelier More and has a rich dark brown patina.
