A good quality, rare, early twentieth century bronze model of a head of a panther entitled ‘Tête de la Panthère Bagheera’ by Gaston Le Bourgeois (French, 1880-1956). This sculpture was cast from a wood carving by the lost wax process. Prior to casting it was inscribed with the artist’s monogram and inscribed ‘modele’. It has a dark brown patina with lighter brown undertones.
