Female Torso, c. 1930
A fine quality twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Female Torso’ by Marcel Gimond (French, 1894-1961). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani foundry, Paris. Before casting it was inscribed and stamped in the wax: ‘C. Valsuani Cire Perdue ‘. It has a dark brown black patina with red and green highlights.
