Mario Dilitz Figures in Bronze and Wood

We are delighted to present this exhibition of Mario Dilitz’s sculptures. We have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Dilitz’s new monumental bronze ‘Boy with Shark’. It is one of the most powerful and well-loved of his models. We have the pleasure of surrounding this centrepiece with a collection of his bronze casts and wood carvings which show Mario’s range of work over the last few years, covering smaller-scale and monumental sculpture.

In ‘Figures in Bronze and Wood’, the artist brings together two materials with deeply different histories and sensibilities: bronze, with its permanence and weight, and wood, with its warmth, grain, and vulnerability. Across both mediums, Dilitz explores the human figure not as a portrait, but as a vessel for solitude, contemplation, restraint, and quiet tension.
