Prince Paul Troubetzkoy, (Russian, 1866 – 1938)
A rare, good quality, twentieth century bronze model of a dancer entitled ‘Portrait of Anna Pavlova’ by Paul Troubetzkoy (Italio-Russian, 1866-1938). This bronze was produced using the lost wax process at the Roman Bronze Works Foundry, New York. Prior to casting it was signed and inscribed in the wax ‘Paul Troubetzkoy’ and ‘Roman Bronze Works N.Y.’. It has a dark brown patina with reddy highlights.
