Nic Fiddian Green: Moonlight Marble

‘Moonlight Marble’ is a film made in 2021 by Fiddian Green’s son, Moses, and explores Nic’s recent return to the process of carving. Marble carvings were a genre that greatly inspired Fiddian Green at the beginning of his career in the early 1980s and this film explores Nic’s recent approach to the technique, something he has referred to as both enlightening and cathartic. This film captures a glimpse of Nic’s intense preparation for a show that took place at the Sladmore Gallery in May 2022 titled ‘Sculpted in Stone’. This showcased a range of carvings in a variety of semi-precious stones.
