Rembrandt Bugatti – The Sculptor 1884-1916

Published - 2nd Nov 2016

This landmark exhibition at Berlin’s Alte Nationalgalerie was the first retrospective exhibition of Rembrandt Bugatti’s work to be held at a major museum world-wide.

The exhibition included over 100 bronze sculptures, drawings and documents relating to the life and career of Bugatti. This short film was produced by Distant Object Productions for the Bugatti Conservatoire. It features an interview with the curator of the exhibition, Director of the museum Philipp Demandt. The exhibition was a rare opportunity to view a vast array of normally hidden works by this impressionist Animalier sculptor and gave this extraordinary artist the recognition within the museum world that he deserves.
