‘The Face of Christ’, by Nic Fiddian Green
We are delighted to present a new exhibition of work by Nic Fiddian Green (British b.1963) titled ‘The Face of Christ’, opening on 10th April 2025 at 57 Jermyn Street.
Featuring twenty new artworks across bronze, paper, lead, copper and marble, this unique body of work gives viewers a meditative opportunity to engage with themes of faith, suffering and redemption in a contemporary environment. Religious imagery has long been a cornerstone of art history, thus contemporary interpretations demand both an original yet contextualised approach.
This exhibition has emerged from a period of personal contemplation, he states: “These works are a reflection of my journey of faith – I have come to find that his power to elevate us underpins everything I strive to do – The Face of Christ is an attempt for me to convey in my work all that he conveys in my heart. Christ gives me the key, but will I open the door?” Whether viewed as an expression of faith, an exploration of the human condition or a study of sculptural excellence, the sensitivity of this new collection of work offers a profound viewing experience.
