'Sladmore: Life in Bronze' - an Auction at Sotheby's
Please click below to watch a short film made by Sotheby’s about the history of the Sladmore, showcasing some of the highlights of the auction.
After recently expanding our gallery space in Jermyn Street we will, after 53 happy years, be closing our Bruton Place showroom and displaying sculpture by our living artists once again alongside work by modern masters such as Barye, Bugatti, Degas, Rodin and Troubetzkoy.
This exciting new chapter in the Sladmore’s continuing development will allow us to reunite our knowledgeable team, both young and old and, as we move into a more digital age, to capitalise on recent changes in the art market.
We are also delighted to be partnering with Sotheby’s in organising a carefully selected auction as, despite our extra space we are unable to accommodate all of our inventory. The sale will feature 150 lots of fine quality sculpture and rare sculptor’s drawings, drawn from across the full range of our stock.

Combining the expertise of a specialist dealer such as the Sladmore, with Sotheby’s ability to reach to new markets across the globe is a winning combination and we hope, whether you are one of our existing clients or a first-time buyer you will find something that appeals in this collection.
With best wishes,
Edward Horswell, Director
